This Privacy Policy explains how More Like U (“More Like U”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use morelikeu.com and the More Like U service.
More Like U is currently operated from Israel and is initially intended for users in Israel.

2. Who can use More Like U
More Like U is intended only for people aged 18 or older.
We ask for your date of birth during profile creation to determine whether you meet this requirement.
If you are under 18, you may not create or use a More Like U profile.
3. Information we collect
Is providing information required?
Providing personal information to More Like U is generally voluntary and is not required by law.
However, certain information is necessary to create and maintain an account or a completed profile. If you choose not to provide required information, you may be unable to register, complete your profile or use certain features.
The purposes for which we collect information are described in Section 5 (How we use your information).
Google sign-in information
More Like U currently uses Google for authentication.
When you sign in with Google, the authentication system may receive and store basic account information including:
- your email address;
- your Google account identifier;
- whether your email address has been verified;
- your Google account name; and
- your Google profile-picture URL.
More Like U does not use your Google name or Google profile picture as your More Like U profile name or profile photo.
We request only the basic Google authentication scopes needed for sign-in (openid, email and profile). We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendar.
Profile information
When you create a More Like U profile, we may collect:
- first name;
- date of birth;
- age calculated from your date of birth;
- selected city/locality;
- languages;
- interests and hobbies;
- the types of connections or activities you are looking for;
- your “About me” text;
- your optional “What I’d love to find” text;
- profile photographs; and
- photo display information such as order, main-photo selection, crop/focal position and zoom.
We also store technical information necessary to manage your profile, such as whether your profile is complete, account status, and creation/update timestamps.
Location information
More Like U currently asks you to select a city or locality.
We do not currently ask for or store your street address, neighborhood, browser/device GPS coordinates or exact personal location.
Our locality database contains approximate coordinates representing localities themselves. These are system reference data and are not your personal coordinates.
Technical and authentication information
Our infrastructure may process information necessary to operate and secure the service, including authentication/session information, timestamps, IP addresses and technical/server logs.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or advertising cookies, and we do not currently use analytics trackers.
Website-language preferences may be stored on your device.
4. Profile photos and metadata
Profile photos are stored privately.
Photos uploaded through More Like U are validated and processed on the server before becoming accepted profile photos.
The server decodes and rebuilds accepted photos as new image files. This process is designed to prevent EXIF, GPS, camera/device and other unnecessary embedded metadata from remaining in the stored profile photo.
The original unprocessed image is not intentionally retained as a permanent profile photo.
5. How we use your information
We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:
- create and operate your More Like U account;
- authenticate you;
- create and maintain your profile;
- determine whether you meet the 18+ requirement;
- display and edit your own profile;
- prepare the service for future social discovery features;
- determine whether your profile is complete and eligible for an area launch;
- operate account, privacy and safety features;
- prevent abuse and protect the security of the service;
- enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines;
- respond to support, privacy and safety requests; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not currently sell personal information or use personal information for third-party advertising.
6. Information that may be visible to other users
During the current pre-launch phase, users cannot browse or view other users' profiles.
When social discovery is enabled in the future, profile information intended to be visible may include information such as:
- first name;
- age;
- locality;
- profile photos;
- languages;
- interests;
- what you are looking for;
- About me; and
- What I’d love to find.
Before such functionality is launched, the product and this Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary.
We do not intend to publicly display your:
- date of birth;
- email address;
- Google account identifier;
- authentication information;
- exact personal location;
- internal account status; or
- private administrative/security information.
7. Service providers
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate More Like U.
These currently include the following categories of providers, which may receive or process information for the purposes described:
- application hosting and infrastructure (Lovable and Lovable Cloud) — to run the website and the service;
- database and private file storage (Lovable Cloud, which runs on Supabase infrastructure) — to store account, profile and photo information;
- authentication (Lovable Cloud) — to sign you in and keep your session secure; and
- Google sign-in (Google) — to verify your identity when you choose to sign in with Google.
As a result, personal information may be processed using infrastructure located outside Israel.
We require or expect service providers to process information only as appropriate to provide their services and subject to their applicable agreements and legal obligations.
Google is contacted when you deliberately choose to use Google sign-in. More Like U's website fonts are served by the application itself and ordinary page loading does not currently contact Google for fonts.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information.
Current measures include authenticated access, database-level access controls, private photo storage, server-side profile validation, server-side photo validation and metadata sanitization, protected administrative functions and restrictions on suspended accounts.
No Internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Suspended accounts and safety
More Like U may suspend accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, security, abuse prevention or enforcement of our rules.
Suspended users cannot modify their profile or profile content and are excluded from launch-ready participation.
Suspended users may still access account settings, download their data, delete their account and sign out.
10. How long we keep information
We generally retain account and profile information while your More Like U account exists or for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
You may permanently delete your account through Account settings.
Authentication accounts that were created but never completed into profiles may remain until deleted by the user or until we implement an appropriate retention/cleanup policy.
Infrastructure providers may retain limited backup, security or server-log information according to their own retention systems and legal obligations. Such copies may not disappear immediately when information is deleted from the active application.
11. Downloading your information
You can use Account → Download my data to obtain a copy of information associated with your More Like U account.
The download includes a readable data export, the record of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy versions you accepted and, where applicable, your profile photographs.
Authentication secrets and tokens are not included.

You can edit much of your profile information directly through More Like U.

13. Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your More Like U account through Account → Delete my account.
Account deletion removes active More Like U account/profile information, associated profile choices, profile photographs, legal acceptance records and the authentication account.
Deleting your More Like U account does not delete your Google account.
Some information may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups or security/server logs where those copies are controlled by our infrastructure providers or must be retained for legitimate legal/security purposes.
14. Cookies and similar technologies
More Like U currently uses only technologies reasonably necessary for functions such as authentication and local preferences.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or third-party marketing trackers.
If we introduce analytics, marketing technologies or other non-essential tracking in the future, this policy and any consent mechanisms required by applicable law will be updated.
15. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, including Israeli privacy law, you may have rights concerning personal information held about you. In particular:
- Access: you may request to review the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: you may request that inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information be corrected or deleted. Much of your profile can also be edited directly in More Like U.
- Download: you can download a copy of your information at any time through Account → Download my data.
- Deletion: you can permanently delete your account at any time through Account → Delete my account.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
More Like U is under active development.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, our information practices or applicable requirements change.
